Q.) What do I do if I forget my password ?
A) In the login page , you can click “forgot password” and you will receive an email with a newly generated password.
Q.) Can I hide confidential details like telephone , mobile, username, date of birth ?
A) Yes you can, When you update your profile select the “Show me only” option next to the detail that is to be hidden.
Q.) If I live in a state which is not in the pre-defined list how can I add the state ?
A) Click on ‘Other’ checkbox and define the state in the input box adjacent to the checkbox. This applies even to Country, Education and HULScape details in your profile.
Q.) Which browers are recommended to view this site ?
A) Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and 3.0 & Internet Explorer 7.0 and 8.0.
Q.) Can I upload my own personal photos ?
A) You can create your own albums and add photos and captions to them under your “my albums” section
Q.) If I have a high resolution scanned image of a large file size can I still upload them ?
A) No problem. The application will convert the file to a web friendly resolution before uploading them
Q.) How do I search for other members ?
A) You may search for other members in the browse members section. You may search by first name, last name, designation at HUL, department at HUL
Q.) Can I report inappropriate comment or photograph ?
A) You can click the Report abuse button below the comment/ photograph and the administrator will take appropriate action after review
Q.) Can I create my own communities or blogs ?
A) This feature is currently not available but we look forward to providing many more features soon
Q.) Can I submit my own articles or photographs for the public gallery ?
A) You are welcome to submit your articles under Brighten, Lighten and HUL Scape sections or photographs for the gallery. The administrator will add these contributions and credit them if found appropriate.
Q.) How do I refer other potential members ?
A) You may refer potential members by clicking the “Refer an alumni” link at the bottom of each page
Q.) Can I submit my suggestions, feedback for the site ?
A) The HUL Alumni site is driven by members and we would be delighted to receive all feedback. At the bottom of each page there is a “Feedback” link
Q.) How do I rate gallery photographs and articles ?
A) Rating of photographs and articles is possible by clicking the appropriate star among 5 stars
Q.) How do I access pages which are interlinked easily ?
A) Click on the sitemap at the bottom of each page to get a complete overview of all links in the site
Q.) How frequently will the articles in Brighten, Lighten and HUL Scape change ?
